How to get the console

1. Create a shortcut for Counter-Strike and place it on the desktop.

2. Next right click on the icon and bring up the properties menu.

3.Then look for a thing that says TARGET:

4.There is a line in the target box that should look something like this -C:\SIERRA\Counter-Strike\cstrike.exe

5. Add to this line -dev --console,IMPORTANT- Make sure you leave one space between the original line and -dev. There is also a space between -dev and -console.

6. Now you have the console, to activate it in the game press the tilde (~) key .

Binding

Binding is a very simple task. To bind simply type in the console- bind "(any key)" (you need the quotations in between the key or else the bind will not work,) F1-F12 can work quite nicely as a key.

Next make a space between what you typed. Then put 1 quotation mark.then type say(space)then type in what you want. Last put 1 quotation mark at the end of what you wrote.Then press enter. For example one of my binds is- bind "f12" "say I raped the CT's", That is a bind.

Congratulations, you just bound(binded) a key!!!!
Now everytime you press the key you bound, the message you wrote will appear.
